Karen Durell is a lawyer and registered patent agent. She holds a bachelor degree from Queen’s University, a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Master of Laws from McGill University. She is also a Ph.D. candidate at the Faculty of Law of McGill University. Karen currently practices intellectual property law with a leading national Canadian law firm where she concentrates on technology transfer and managing intellectual property. Karen draws on her background in technology and law, which includes a prior career in the information technology sector and several years practicing corporate commercial law.
