Kent Nnadozie

Director, Southern Environmental and Agricultural Policy Research Institute, Kenya

Kent is a Nigerian lawyer who has practised in the area of environmental and sustainable development law, with a focus on biodiversity and related intellectual property rights. Kent is a member of the IUCN Commission on Environmental Law and Co-chair of its Specialist Group on the Implementation of the CBD. He is Director of the Southern Environmental and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (SEAPRI) in Nairobi, Kenya, which focuses on agricultural, environmental and technological development issues, primarily as they affect developing countries and local communities. He is a recent member of a Special Task Force set up by the Federal Government of Nigeria to review all intellectual property laws. He has consulted widely for national institutions, international organizations and bodies and was a Specialist Legal Adviser to the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture of the FAO.
